New Workshops
Our new and most innovative workshops.
The Art of Acro Balance Take your acro off the floor! This workshop will give you the foundation to be a solid base, a tight flyer, and a hands on spotter. Learn the basics of basing on your legs, shoulders, back and hands in a safe and supportive environment. For the more advanced students, there is the opportunity to try some hand to hand (doing handstands on your partner’s hands) and some dynamic transitions and combinations. No experience necessary.
Strong and Bendy - Handstands and Flexibility Although standing on your hands seems fairly simple, there is a lifetime of technique in mastering the skill set for a solid and steady handstand. In this class, master the basics and figure out how to turn yourself upside down safely and efficiently. If you already have your handstand, learn techniques for improving your form and the steps necessary for moving onto more advanced moves, like lever ups and one handed handstands. In addition, we will delve into some deep partner stretching and go over some ways to increase and maintain your flexibility. No experience necessary.
Movement and Style Exploration Have you seen an aerial or floor routine and had major deja vu? With so many artists out there it’s hard to give yourself a unique edge. Now you can learn how. Too often we get stuck in the style we learn in, long and pretty, slow and flowy. Learn how to expand your options and possibilities. This workshop will guide you gently out of your comfort zone of standard movement quality. Let yourself be silly, let yourself go, and see what happens when you aren’t boxed into the norm and allowed to explore beyond the convention. This workshop can be done on aerial apparatus', poles or as a ground routine. Each student can choose which they prefer. Prerequisites: 5 pole classes or floor classes and the ability to repeat sequences of your own creation
